The dream is that Tension and Moonboards continue to hold real estate in gyms for as long as indoor climbing exists. However, I fear for the pattern of commercial gyms favoring Kilter boards. Not saying it isn’t an awesome tool, but it just feels like a part of climbing “culture” dies if Kilter boards take over every board.
Agreed, I do think the Kilter issue could be remedied a bit with a stricter benchmarking system instead of going by a star rating. A bit too ambiguous for me.
